Durham & District u3a was formed in 2024 from a merger of Dunelm u3a and Durham u3a

Durham & District u3a is a Durham City based organisation in the North East of England and our membership of about 300 is drawn from the surrounding area.

The u3a approach to learning is - Learning for pleasure. There is no accreditation or validation and there are no assessments, exams or qualifications to be gained. We provide a mechanism for people of all backgrounds to come together in groups to share their experience, skills and hobbies.

We meet once a month and have interest groups that meet more often in various locations in and around to the city.
