Monthly sessions normally take place on the first Monday of the month, from 1.30 pm to 3.30pm at the Carrville Methodist Hall. Check the calendar for any variations.

Teams of 3 or 4 are chosen by random drawing of cards. The standard format is 8 rounds of 10 questions, starting and finishing with general knowledge with 6 themed rounds in-between. You can double your score for any one of these themed rounds by playing a joker. Members take it in turn to set the questions and we have plenty of source material to help members with their questions.

In addition to the monthly sessions, we take part in inter-u3a quizzes. The last one was the North Region Quiz at Sunniside on 04/03/26. The next one is the South Region Quiz at Hurworth on 17/06/26, 1400-1630. The cost will be £24 for a team of 6, so £4 each. Contact Jennifer if you are interested.
