The quiz normally take place on the first Monday of the month, from 1.30 pm to 3.30pm at Carrville Methodist Hall (103 High St, Carrville, DH1 1BQ.) Check the calendar for any variations.

Teams of 3 or 4 are chosen by random drawing of cards. The standard format is 8 rounds of 10 questions, starting and finishing with general knowledge with 6 themed rounds in-between. You can double your score for any one of these themed rounds by playing a joker. Members take it in turn to set the questions and we have source material to help with this, if necessary. New attendees will have plenty of time to settle in before it is their turn.

A message from Jennifer about Christmas. 'As a result of my survey at the last quiz group, the majority vote was for a bought in lunch. The second favourite idea was just a quiz with Xmas goodies at tea time. I will progress these ideas by enquiring about availability of lunch from an outside provider'. There is a need for an early decision as Jennifer is away for the September meeting.
